Due to the "lockdown" and a long period for your bike not running you may have need to charge the battery, amongst other things. However some of you may be a Triumph owner from the past (sounds spooky) who now owns a modern Triumph. So, it may be tempting to dig out your old charger (photo 1) for use but it is almost certainly not suitable for the Hinckley bikes. So, with this in mind, I have recently bought a simple electronic charger (photo 2) with no more than 1 AMP output but importantly one that says it's "suitable for sealed, VRLA and Gel batteries". (I do note that Triumph Motorcycles Ltd advise to always remove the battery for charging and to follow the instructions supplied with the battery charger being used). NOTE: VRLA stands for "Valve Regulated Lead Acid" which essentially is the design of all Sealed Lead Acid batteries. However, there are 2 types: 1. AGM - standing for "Absorbed Glass Mat" which is a method to hold the electrolyte inside. (These are most common). 2. Gel - where the electrolyte is suspended inside by the addition of a silica additive. This may all be obvious to many but I hope it helps, anyhow.
